Submit Your Press Release

Instructions

We want to help you connect your information to our readers, therefore we are providing this tool that automatically uploads your press release to our Hot Off The Press (Release) blog. Upon submitting your release, it will go to our pending queue for review. TucsonCitizen.com is a hyper-local, news, information and opinion blogging site. Releases soliciting customers for a good or service will not be posted (in other words, buy an ad). Releases soliciting purchase of vulgar, obscene or other material or events that violate acceptable standards of decency also will not be posted. All other releases will be posted at the discretion of the site administrator. Releases about the Tucson and Pima County metropolitan area will receive priority. Your release will not be edited in any way and you can't delete it once it is posted. The press release queue will be reviewed twice a day, roughly at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and all acceptable releases will be posted to the PR blog. If you have questions about this tool or about why a release wasn't posted, email Administrator Mark B. Evans, mevans@tucsoncitizen.com. If there is an egregious error in a posted release or if a release needs to be recalled (an event is cancelled, for example) email Evans or call him at 520-573-4614.

To use the tool, either type your release into the Body box or copy and paste your release into the Body box. To add a photo, place the cursor where you want the photo to appear and click on the icon that looks like a tree in the second row of the editing tools (it's next to the brush). The photo must be hosted on another website. Review the press release for bad paragraph breaks, broken html or other problems, and that it includes the 5 Ws, then write a good SEO-friendly headline and click submit.
