Yes, I do hold a B.A. in Creative Writing. When relaying stories I have heard, I do relay them as they have been told to me. I also make sure that I take the time to perform a bit of research on them, since my minor area of study was Information Resources and Library Sciences.

Seriously, if I were in your position that evening, my heart would have been pounding, too! Sounds without an apparent source are quite scary. I heard this story from my uncle who was a pharmacist at that old Osco while all of this was going on. The click-click-click sound alone was said to be scary enough!

How creepy! I would have been frightened out of my mind! I've had one experience with the paranormal, but it doesn't quite compare to that experience.
I was visiting my father when he lived in Biddeford, Maine in an old apartment building. I was laying on the couch late one night, trying to get to sleep when I clearly heard footsteps in the kitchen. My heart jumped, but I got up to peek around the corner and of course, I saw nothing. I checked to see if anyone else in the house was awake, but they were all sound asleep. I just went back and laid down on the couch, with eyes wide open and my heart was pounding. It was definitely a creepy moment for me!
