Hello Jason, thank you for commenting. I also hope that the truth will come out...soon. His convictions were overturned in 1982, but reinstated in 1983. Several members of the media have brought attention to his imprisonment, including news correspondant Steve Kroft, who did a 60 Minutes segment in 2003. What's most disturbing to me is that one of the "experts" involved in the original fire investigation said in 2006: "I came to this opinion some time ago that neither one of us had any business identifying that fire as arson," (Marshall Smyth). Hi Frank. Your father-in-law is not alone. I’ve talked to a few people who have led me to believe the same thing. I hope that the Arizona Justice Project is still on it and that they make some progress. Phoenix attorney Larry Hammond is currently fighting to overturn Taylor’s conviction.

I was 7 yrs old when that fire happen, my older brothers deliverd the AZ Daily Star. The delivery truck was late that morning, I belive it was a Sunday…My father -in law was a fire fighter that responded that night. I too have always been interested in that fire. My father -in law will not tell me or will not open up about the events that happen that day. I’ve tried over the years and he will just tell me little things. But things that would make one believe that the story how the fire started, who investegated and how they came to thier conclusion is not the truth or at least how he sees it. One day the truth will come out he tells me , but for now only a few know and thier not saying…..

That is very interesting…Catalina Antillon, aged 8, is one of the four victims of the fire whose cause of death was “fall”; Catalina was one of the children of Dr. Jose Jesus Antillon. The Antillon family was staying in room 803 on that night.

Many do believe that Louis Cuen Taylor is innocent. In 2006, a new probe into the case was sought.
