Travel Channel’s ‘Ghost Stories’ features an Arizona haunting

by on Jul. 02, 2010, under General Paranormal, Ghosts and Hauntings, Life

The Travel Channel series “Ghost Stories” doesn’t attempt to prove or disprove hauntings. The objective of the show is to simply give goosebumps to viewers with a good ghost story.

Tonight, Arizona paranormal investigator Debe Branning will contribute to the telling of one of these stories. Her focus for tonight is on the tiny town of Jerome, Arizona. She will tell the ghost story of the pretty prostitute turned phantom: Sammie Dean.

Debe Branning is no stranger to ghost stories. She shares creepy tales regularly as the Arizona Haunted Sites Examiner. As the founder of MVD Ghostchasers based in Mesa, AZ, she continuously encounters new tales through her paranormal investigations. Some people may know Debe as the author of Sleeping With Ghosts: A Ghost Hunter’s Guide to Arizona’s Haunted Hotels and Inns (Golden West Publishers).  Debe’s friends and fans know that she is currently working hard on a book about the ghosts of the Grand Canyon. She has also penned a children’s book series that features a paranormal investigating piglet named Chickolet Pigolet.

When Debe isn’t writing, she’s out in the field gathering information and hunting for ghosts.

Debe always has a great story to tell. In fact, years ago, she personally introduced me to the tiny town of Jerome – and of course, to Sammie Dean.
