This video is obviously a plane with its landing lights on. It is flying one direction then banks right behind the trees and continues fying straight and smooth. You can see the red and green lights at each wingtip, the strobe on the bottom is intermintantly visible as it rolls, and you can hear the engine. I don’t doubt people saw something strange that night but this isn’t it. The object in this video is a regular ole airplane.

I don’t think that what was indicated on the video is what people saw. Eyewitnesses have all said no. With the description, I was thinking about another type of aircraft that is triangular and has lights around it…

yea my guess is its a c-17 military cargo plane, go on you tube and look at one at night and the blinking lights really give it away that it is an aircraft. Not to mention tucson has one of the largest air force bases in the U.S.

My brother and I and firm believers in UFO and live a mile away from one another which is in the escalante & kolb area right at the base.. we see so many strange lights that cannot be explained.. we see this one very low and very bright yellow and red flashing light that dims and turns off almost weekly.. but this is clearly one of those cargo planes we see them daily day and night when its coming right at you it does look like a ufo…once it flies overheard it is a huge cargo plane…. but it you live near the base watch the skies at night you will see crazy things that are not planes… makes you stop and think…

Eyewitnesses were directed to MUFON as they came forward. I’m not doing an investigation on it.

Chrtz, I have no idea what you are talking about with your earlier comment you mention. If it was pushed to spam, then I did not see it. The Tucson Citizen is a collective of blogs. Yes, because it just shows an aircraft, and it is supplied by someone with a history of claiming aircraft (and car headlights..) are alien ufos, doing a great disservice to those genuinely interested in this sort of stuff.

So take it down, and go back and *properly* look at all the reports that came in BEFORE you used the video to drag in every tom/dick/mary and their dog. Perhaps that’s needlessly unkind – some of these later reports may indeed be of something, but you have now tainted the investigation. Unless you are now prepared to do the hard yards and identify these people and *properly* interview them, the new ‘testimony’ is tainted and essentially worthless.

It would also be nice if the flawed approach being used here was acknowledged… Where is your expert on local aircraft and aircraft movements and identifying them at night? On videography? On the psychology of witness testimony that arrives after an event? How have you collated all the reports (including times, locations and directions of sighting) and triangulated them? Have you identified how many independent reports there were before it gained media attention? (I’m betting we won’t hear that number..) Are you getting my drift about how one might *properly* investigate something like this?
Sorry, but this is just Henny Penny and her fellow chickens running around yelling that the sky is falling.

I see my earlier comment agreeing with ‘dumb’ (- yes, it’s a plane..) didn’t make the grade. Yet other adhominems were approved -nice. It seems any criticism of Cheryl or your reporting is disallowed – so be it – but it will be noted on other forums.
FTR – a decent investigation would include such basic stuff as:
When was this first reported (on TV or radio)?
When did the ‘subsequent’ reports come in?
How many of the reports accurately described a matching object/trajectory?
How many of the reports included images or video?
Is the UFO topic ‘hot’ in that area, so that lots of folk want to join in?
What do you think happens when people who are completely oblivious to the sky normally, rush out with their kids after hearing these stories and see an aircraft on approach, or Venus or Jupiter, both of whom are shining brightly at the moment…
And then there are those who simply troll around pretending they saw something – you guys would rather listen to that than the explanatory information telling you that the Sheila video is a plane.
Sheila is promoting the heck out of her ‘sightings’ and you are helping.. shame on lame reporting.

About 11:40 PM I was on the sidewalk infront of my house smoking a cigarette because I do not smoke inside the house when I saw the same UFO. I live in Midvale park and at first thought it was helicopters that usually fly around the area. Then it crossed the path of the moon and I could see it was triangular shape and made no noise. The moon was full on Saturday so when it blocked the moon light I could see it was triangular shaped. It was big and you could not see anything but three round lights at the tips.The street lights seemed to get a shade dimmer as it passed and regained brightness after it passed. That could have been my imagination though. Probably a new stealth bomber
