I really looked forward to Paranormal Cops. I wrote an article about it: http://tucsoncitizen.com/paranormal/2010/01/17/cop-intuition-lends-promising-premise-to-paranormal-cops/ Viewers panned it for being like Ghost Hunters. If investigators do not use common, established methods to investigate, how will we ever learn anything?

There is another interesting report at http://www.aolnews.com/weird-news/article/former-california-cops-william-jimenez-glen-mayernick-are-now-ghost-hunters/19650651 , about former policemen who investigate paranormal events. I liked their disinclination to have anything to do with demons, heh.

But anyone familiar with the paranormal knows that police and government interest in the phenomena and use of it for their own ends has been going on for years. Apparently, the authorities didn’t wait for science to get off dead center and really investigate the phenomena — the authorities just make use of it where they can, as in homicide investigations. Check out books like “The Blue Sense” by Lyons and Truzzi or “The Warrior’s Edge” by John Alexander for some examples of this.

We shouldn’t wait for the mainstream media to report on such things, though. It doesn’t fit their (for the most part) “let’s laugh this out of the room” agenda.
