‘UFO on Tape’ iPhone app concept long overdue

Apps like UFO on Tape by Revolutionary Concepts make me wish that I had an iPhone or iPod touch.

The game’s premise is simple:

“UFO on Tape is a new type of iPhone and iPod touch game where players try to track alien flying saucers throughout the city. The object of the game is to keep the space craft in sight as long as possible, and to compare times with other players around the world. A variety of extras are included in the game, such as voice dialogue from a hysterical virtual girlfriend.”- Macintosh News Network

Reviews on the Internet are overwhelmingly positive, hinting that the game is not only fun, but bordering on addictive. I especially like the added touch of the “hysterical virtual girlfriend”. No UFO video is complete without that off-camera input from additional witnesses.

The game is also said to work those camera moving reflex muscles. This, in my opinion, is sorely needed judging from real UFO videos I’ve seen.

“If you have ever held a camera in hand with a full zoom trying to capture a moving object you’ll not only know just how accurate this game feels but you will have an idea of the game play. I personally love the idea behind this and can’t wait to what they can add in updates. While the game feels very polished there is still more that can be done with this idea. This game is well worth the asking price of $0.99 and will not leave you feeling probed.” – Review Strong

I never thought that I would write about a game on Paranormal Old Pueblo, but I fell in love with the concept of the game and thought I’d share. Watch the YouTube video below to see what the game looks like:
