anyhow , – meanwhile back in the real world I’d just like to say here, that in my own personal experience the above is incorrect, on the East Coast in Australia today. In fact in my experience it is the personell who have either an associate or reserve status with any Law Enforcement body who work the longest ,hardest and the most diligently. It’s more than just a job to them, it’s their preferred way of helping to make their local community a nicer place to live in for all women and children. These folks are also in my experience the ones most likely to suffer summary decisions about their motivations and positions, whenever somebody gets their knickers in a twist about some petty inconsistency. I have had personal experience of this very same aspect of human nature. Don’t worry about it all too much ‘Chuck’ and remember it doesn’t take a badge, -to make a man, Mate.

(both the poor horses and our compadre ‘Chuck.’) I myself reserve my opinion about the possible cause of the former but applaud the handling of the latter. My apologies for the delay in responding. I do understand about the last story and the frustration you experienced after the Fox interview. I am contacted quite a bit by eyewitnesses and experts who state that their words were twisted by the media. It has created the need to work harder to “fact check” on stories such as yours that were first reported by the mainstream media. Keep up the good work with your investigations!

(Thank you for this posting and my apologies for my misunderstanding about your first posting.) True my bio did say I was a Reserve Deputy, but it also says much more about me including various expertise and education. I don’t place any blame with the Tucson Citizen or Thehorse.com articles about posting my reserve status, it was clearly on my website’s bio and I was proud of it, still am. End of last year I did replace the Reserve status on my bio to Colorado Post Reserve Certified, but recently changed it to “Former Reserve…” because of my termination. JAny interview I’ve done or any investigation I’ve performed while having a Reserve status, I never represented myself as a deputy on behalf of the County. Matter of fact Andy Koen with News First Five who broke this story, actually accompanied me on one of my cattle mutilation investigations in 2009 not knowing I was deputy. Later he learned I was, while seeing me in uniform working a detail he was covering for a news story.I’d like to thank Cherlyn Gardner Strong for posting information pertaining to the animal mutilation phenomenon. Since 1967’s Snippy (Lady) the Horse’s case here in Colorado, no one has ever been caught, tried or convicted of being responsible for a mutilation case. Public awareness is crucial in these cases and any help is greatly appreciated.Chuck Zukowski
