Paul the Octopus vs 300 slain goats: What’s more important to PETA?

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Earlier this year, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) raised a stink for Paul the Octopus. Paul is the psychic octopus that predicted the winners for seven of the World Cup winners in Germany. This animal seems to display incredible psychic ability.

Paul the Octopus lives in a tank at a Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany. Paul presumably lives at a comfortable temperature at the Sea Life Centre. He also appears to have plenty of food available to him. Yet, PETA decided that Paul needed their help. PETA decided Paul should be free and they raised a lot of ruckus to ensure his freedom.

He remains in the tank in Germany.

For the last two months, 300 goats were said to be beheaded in Mexico. Was it the Chupacabra who killed them as the people in Mexico are led to believe? Was it drug cartels murdering goats wanting to scare ‘simple’ villagers to distract them from what’s really going on around the villages? Is it just the owners of these animals wanting to gain notoriety?

I have so far not read one statement from PETA regarding these particular incidents in Mexico.

Does PETA’s assistance depend on where you live? Does it depend on the animal displaying special abilities before an animal is defended? Does it matter if a ‘mythical creature’ is slaying the animals or not?

I am making this post with the intention of a PETA representative answering any or all of these questions.

I would like to know.

Perhaps an open letter to PETA might get them to answer any or all of these questions.

The mythical creature (El Chupacabra), although presumably an animal, has never beheaded victims before. He has merely sucked the blood out of the bodies of his victims. This was apparently okay. Beheadings, however, doesn’t seem okay to me. Why haven’t you weighed in on this?

In a superstitious culture,  like Mexico, where animals are attacked by another animal (a mythical one at that) – suddenly the mythical animal begins to attack innocent goats in the same fashion as drug cartels would?

Why is that?

PETA, do you care enough about these animals to investigate and see what’s really going on there? Do you only fight for animals living in cages…or just those in tanks lately? Is Mexico simply too dangerous of an area for you to raise a stink in?

Not judging, just want to know. Any clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

El Chupacabra blamed for beheadings in Mexico (with photo)

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Sucking blood from his victims seems to have become very boring for El Chupacabra. The creature now appears to be beheading the goats in Mexico, as initially reported by AOLNews.

It isn’t clear from the reports if he is sucking the blood out of the goats before or after the decapitations.

More than 300 goats have been beheaded over a two-month period. Since very little evidence of blood remains at the scene of each incident, El Chupacabra must be the culprit, they say.

The cryptid (an animal not yet confirmed by science)  has taken the blame for many deaths. He has also been the subject of frequent satire, usually related to Arizona.

Two months ago, the Weekly World News released a satirical story about President Obama releasing the creature into Saguaro National Park in Pima County, Arizona. Obama made this move, according to the story, to force Arizonans to repeal the controversial immigration law SB 1070 before it went into effect.

In another widely circulated believed-to-be-true story, the creature attacked Tucsonan Billy Nubian’s goats during one of the very first documented Chupacabra attacks. The problem with that story is that “Nubian” is a breed of goat. Considering that fact, the man’s name would be “Billy Goat”.  People, quit spreading that story, it’s not true. It’s simply another Arizona myth.

It’s  no wonder that Arizona and Mexico have beheading on their minds. With the drug cartels clearly performing that act on people in Mexico, El Chupacabra is now beheading Mexican goats.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is blamed for creating that mythical claim about beheadings on U.S. soil.

The answer to all of this is quite simple:

Just blame El Chupacabra.
