Five fields at Arthur Pack Park to close for lighting improvementsby Pima County News on Jun. 16, 2011, under Pima County, Sports
Pima County, Arizona – Five of the 10 baseball/softball fields at Arthur Pack Regional Park, 9101 N. Thornydale Road, will be closed for improvements from June 20 to September 15.
Fields 1-5, near the intersection of Thornydale and Overton roads, will be closed while the ball field lighting systems are replaced. Pima County is replacing these outdated lighting systems with Musco’s Light-Structure Green® system. It is an energy-efficient lighting system that minimizes off-site spill and glare light on adjacent property. The new lighting system will reduce operating costs and include system monitoring and remote on/off control.
The fields can be seen at http://www.pima.gov/nrpr/parks/arthur_pack/APPA_facility.pdf
