Student wellness ‘Youth Summit’ set for Wednesday, March 7 in Tucson

(Mar. 5, 2012) – The Pima County Health Department, in collaboration with the University of Arizona, will host a youth summit Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Its aim is to improve the health of students in middle school and high school.
The Youth Summit at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites, 5151 E Grant Road, will include an estimated 250 students from 22 schools and seven school districts.
They have been working throughout the school year to improve the health of all students at their schools and in their surrounding communities.
The participants will gather to share their successes and continue to build on skills they’ve developed in policy change, healthy lifestyle choices and community leadership.
