If you’ve been looking for love in the wrong places, come see if your Valentine sweetheart may be waiting for you at Pima Animal Care Center.

In honor of the annual quest for love that is Valentine’s Day,Pima Animal Care Center is running a $14 “Be Mine” pet adoption special at our adoption center,4000 N. Silverbell Road.

“Valentine’s Day is one day devoted to love, but these animals will be able to provide love 365 days a year,” said Kim Janes, Manager of Pima Animal Care Center. “You’re not only gaining a loyal companion, but you’re also giving the ultimate gift of the heart: Saving a life.”

If you already have fancy dinner reservations, and worry that Fluffy will chew the napkin and Spot can’t handle his wine, no worries. The special will run from Feb. 11 through Feb. 17. The fee will get you a pet that is vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. There is an additional dog licensing fee of $15 for dogs over the age of three months.

And if you’re not ready to adopt, but want to help, our animals always appreciate donated treats.

Pima Animal Care Center has sweeties in all sizes, shapes and colors to choose from. We’re open noon – 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekends. Please connect with us at www.pima.gov/animalcare
