Pima County, Arizona – The four baseball/softball fields at Winston Reynolds/Manzanita Park, 5200 S. Westover Ave., will be closed for improvements from July 5 to October 15.

Fields 1-4, at the park southwest of West Irvington and South Mission roads, will be closed while the ball field lighting systems are replaced. Pima County is replacing these outdated lighting systems with Musco’s Light-Structure Green® system. It is an energy-efficient lighting system that minimizes off-site spill and glare light on adjacent property. The new lighting system will reduce operating costs and include system monitoring and remote on/off control.

The basketball court, tennis court, upper playground and ramada near the snack bar will be closed during some phases of the construction. Signs will be posted at the park.

The fields can be seen at http://www.pima.gov/nrpr/parks/manzanita/WRPA_facility.pdf.
