The fireworks show following the Tucson Padres baseball game against the Las Vegas 51s on Thursday, July 4, will be the biggest of the season and will be accompanied by patriotic music.
Fireworks will also follow the Padres game on Friday, July 5. Both shows are presented by Giant convenience stores, NOVA Home Loans, Western Refining, KiiM-FM 99.5, and KOLD-TV.
The first 3,000 fans at Friday’s game will get a miniature American flag, compliments of the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army Jazz Band will play at Gate A before the game. Also a group of young men and women will be sworn into the U.S. Army on the field.
The Padres play Las Vegas again on Saturday, July 6. The first 2,000 adults, 17 and older, with a paid admission will get a free patriotic Padres T-shirt.
All three games start at 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on July 4 and at 6 p.m. on July 5 and 6.

Also on Saturday, July 6, Women’s Premier Soccer League teams from the Tucson Soccer Academy and SC del Sol in Phoenix face off at 5:15 p.m. in the North Grandstand.
