Pima County, Ariz. (Nov. 16, 2011) – Landfills and transfer stations operated by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality Solid Waste Division will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. All will reopen on Friday, Nov. 25.

The closure includes landfills in Sahuarita and Ajo, the Tangerine Landfill and the Catalina and Ryan Field Transfer Stations.

The landfills and transfer stations will reopen the next day,  Saturday, Nov. 12.

The closures include landfills in Sahuarita and Ajo, the Tangerine Landfill and the Catalina and Ryan Field Transfer Stations.

Pima County, Ariz.  (Oct. 4) – Pima County’s landfills and transfer stations operated by the Department of Environmental Quality will close on Monday, Oct. 10,  for the Columbus Day holiday.

Also, the Solid Waste administrative office on Ina Road will be closed for the day.

Landfills in Sahuarita and Ajo and the Tangerine Landfill and Catalina and Ryan Field Transfer Stations will also close for the holiday.

Ajo, Ariz. (July 18, 2011) – The landfill in Ajo operated by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality Solid Waste Division will have new public hours,  beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 2. The schedule is being changed in response to numerous requests for different hours of operation from Ajo-area residents.

The landfill will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The landfill will be closed on Sunday and Monday and on all holidays observed by Pima County.
