Pima County, Ariz. (June 21) – The Pima County Department of Transportation is looking for public comment Tuesday at 6 p.m. at an open house on a number of proposed improvements to La Cholla Boulevard.

The open house is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a presentation on the project set for 6:15 p.m.

The proposal calls for widening La Cholla between Magee and Overton Roads to four lanes, adding raised medians and building a new bridge at the Canyon del Oro Wash.

The project includes amenities for bicyclists and pedestrians. It also includes landscaping and public art, and drainage improvements.  More information on the project is at www.roadprojects.pima.gov.
