In addition, people who wish to purchase equipment can make arrangements with OneStop staff to obtain it at the ICS northwest location.
“We are delighted to be working with ICS in this partnership,” says Shira Ledman, JFCS President & CEO. “OneStop complements ICS’s services, and provides a valuable opportunity for folks who live in the northwest area of Pima County to donate their medical equipment. Last year we served nearly 800 individuals, and with this expansion, even more people will benefit from our program.”
ICS’s mission to assist seniors and the disabled makes it an ideal partner in creating a new OneStop donation site. ICS provides food and emergency financial assistance to Pima County residents in need and mobilizes volunteers to assist seniors and disabled people with Mobile Meals, transportation, home repairs, calls and visits, and health and safety referrals. ICS offers compassionate support by connecting over 600 volunteers and 62 faith communities with our community’s most vulnerable residents. From nutritious food to health evaluations to a ride to the doctor’s office, ICS assists over 20,000 people a year.
OneStop Home Medical Equipment is a program of JFCS; its mission, like that of its parent organization, is to serve the people of the greater Tucson community.
