Tucson Nanny Agency Will Host Spring Job Fair

by on Feb. 22, 2012, under Press Releases

Trusting Connections, Tucson’s premier nanny agency, is having a job fair on Saturday, February 25th from 9am-12pm at 2120 W. Ina Road, Suite 103F. They are looking for experienced, professional nannies and are anticipating an excellent turn out. Agency representatives will be available to interview each person in attendance. Candidates are strongly encouraged to bring a copy of their resume and should register in advance by calling (520) 544-6612.

The locally owned and operated nanny agency has enjoyed early success. To date, Trusting Connections has employed over 20 nannies that work in their temporary Flex Division and has placed countless others in permanent nanny and personal assistant positions.

Owners Rosalind Prather and Caroline Malkin have been overwhelmed by the response they have received as a result of opening the company in August of 2011. “As new business owners, we were pleasantly surprised by the high demand for quality, private child care in Tucson,” says Prather. “Our agency offers local families exceptional care and personalized, superior customer service—something Tucson desperately needed.” But neither woman could have anticipated how difficult it would be to find nannies that meet their high standards. “Business owners always worry about having enough customers but our greatest challenge has been locating nannies that meet our requirements. Our standards are high, but we are unwilling to compromise them,” Malkin notes. Trusting Connections is a proud member of the International Nanny Association and follows the strict guidelines set forth by this and other organizations such as the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies.

The increase in demand for services has led the agency to plan a large-scale hiring event. They currently have many full and part-time positions available.

Trusting Connections requires that all nannies:

-have at least two years of professional child care experience

-pass a comprehensive background investigation conducted by a local, private detective

-pass the International Nanny Association’s Nanny Credentials Exam with an 80% or higher

-be CPR/First Aid Certified or be willing to become certified

-be fingerprinted

-have access to a reliable vehicle and current car insurance

-demonstrate knowledge of child care and child development

Trusting Connections also hopes that the job fair will be a chance to educate nannies or individuals considering a career in the nanny industry about the many benefits of working with their agency including access to competitive jobs being offered by local families and continuing education classes. Additionally, working with an agency can be a much safer route since good agencies serve as an advocate for the nanny and provide support resources and in some cases, legal protection.

“Trusting Connections’ mission is to bring nannies and families together,” Malkin explains. “Nannies that are serious about advancing their career should not hesitate to reach out to us. This is an excellent opportunity not only for ‘career nannies’ but for college students or others looking for a lucrative job who have a passion for children and making a difference in the lives of families.”
