Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market Celebrates “Fall Harvest Festival” on October 25th

Tucson: The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market will celebrate a “Fall Harvest Festival” on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. The Market is located in Mercado San Agustin at 100 S. Avenida Del Convento near the corner of Congress and Grande.
Join the “Fall Harvest Festival” and shop for a large selection of local, fall seasonal produce. Cooking demonstrations will provide ideas for how to prepare healthy autumn dishes. Fifteen to twenty vendors will also be selling breads, pies, tortillas, honey, plants, local eggs and meat. All made with local, natural ingredients.
There will be activities for the children attending the Festival that will include pumpkin decorating, face painting and music by a live student Mariachi Band.
The Santa Cruz River Farmers’ Market is a program of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and accepts SNAP (food stamps), WIC vouchers, Arizona Farmers Market Nutrition vouchers, cash, as well as credit and debit cards.
