MDA AND SALVATION ARMY JOIN FORCES TO PROVIDE NEW TOYS AND GIFTS THROUGH
THE ANGEL GIVING TREE PROGRAM
TUCSON, Dec. 4, 2012 – The
Muscular Dystrophy Association is once again supporting the Salvation Army in
its drive to provide gifts for Tucson children and teens during the holiday
season.
Celebrating its 10th year, the partnership between the two
organizations benefits the Angel Giving Tree Program, which assists deserving
families throughout the city.
Through Thursday, Dec. 20, the lobby at MDA national headquarters, located at 3300
E. Sunrise Drive, will be open to anyone wanting to drop off donations of new,
unwrapped toys, books, games, electronics and sporting goods. Located
just east of Campbell on Sunrise Drive, MDA is open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.,
Monday through Friday, and can be reached at 529-2000.
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and
cures for muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide
research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and
support services, advocacy and education.
