TUCSON OFFICE OF SNELL & WILMER GROWS WITH THE ADDITION OF THREE ATTORNEYS

TUCSON (December 6, 2012) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce the addition of three attorneys to the Tucson office. Serge Martyn, Matt Milner and Cindy Schmidt have all joined the firm as associates.

  • Serge Martyn is in the firm’s commercial litigation group. He comes to Snell & Wilmer from the London office of Davis Polk & Wardwell where, as an associate in the general corporate department, he advised multinational companies and investment banks on cross-border financing, corporate governance, reporting and compliance matters. From August 2010 to August 2011, he served as a law clerk in the office of The Honorable Carlos T. Bea, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, in San Francisco, California.

Martyn earned his Juris Doctor degree at the University of Virginia School of Law where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review and was named to the Order of the Coif. Martyn is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned both a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Philosophy. Martyn is a native speaker of Ukrainian and Russian.

  • Matt Milner’s practice is focused on commercial litigation and labor and employment. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with Honors from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. At the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law, he received a Juris Doctor degree, together with The Honorable Rufus C. Coulter Memorial award in recognition of having attained the highest grade for an Arizona resident in the Criminal Procedure course. Milner also earned awards for Outstanding Performance in Oral Advocacy and Legal Writing.
  • Cindy Schmidt’s practice is concentrated in commercial finance, real estate and business transactions. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana, where she was awarded Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees. She received her Juris Doctor degree with a Business Law concentration that included corporate finance and securities regulations from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law in Tucson. As a law student, Schmidt was the recipient of three prestigious scholarships, earned awards for Outstanding Performance in Oral Advocacy and Legal Writing and for Excellence in the Study of Torts, and served as a writer and Executive Note Editor for the Arizona Law Review.
