Tucson, AZ (January 14) – The 390th Memorial Museum, dedicated to honoring and memorializing those who served in the 390th Bomb Group (Heavy) during World War II, is currently undergoing a $2,400,000 expansion and renovation designed by M3 Engineering and constructed by Lloyd Construction Company.
The museum features a beautifully restored B17G, Flying Fortress, “I’ll be Around,” along with many other exhibits, artifacts, memorabilia and documents relating to the group when it was based in England during World War II. Located on the grounds of the Pima Air and Space Museum (PASM) in Tucson, it functions and is funded independently from PASM.
According to Executive Director, Emile “Terry” Therrien, “The renovation should be completed by early August 2013. During the expansion and renovation phase, the Museumremains open and there’s still plenty for visitors to see on display.” More information can be found at www.390th.org, or call 520.574.0287 for visitor information.
