UA BookStores Presents: Behind the Books with Daniel Hernandez

Daniel Hernandez Jr., 23, is a survivor of the January 8, 2011 shooting that took the lives of six and seriously injured 13 others from the Tucson community. His quick response in coming to the aid of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords helped save her life and led to his being labeled an American hero, a title he humbly rejects. Hernandez, a Tucson native, is a recent graduateof The University of Arizona who continues to inspire as a role model, especially for youth, through his service to community and country.

Join us on this special occasion as Daniel speaks and share on his new book,They Call Me A Hero: A Memoir of My Youth(with Susan Goldman Rubin).

Event is free and open to the public.
