TUCSON’S SALON NOUVEAU RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR LEADERSHIP IN PHILANTHROPYby Hot Off The Press (Release) on Feb. 26, 2013, under Press Releases
TUCSON, AZ (February 18, 2013) – The staff of Tucson’s Salon Nouveau and owners Kathy Alexander and Paul Lindsey were named to the 2013 SALON TODAY 200 list by SALON TODAY magazine, a top business publication for salon and spa owners.
Alexander explained that Salon Noveau was selected as one of only 25 in the nation for “Best Practices in Philanthropy,” both for a long-standing commitment to “Bags, Baubles & Ballgowns,” which benefits the projects and programs of Angel Charity for Children, as well as for pioneering a dynamic new community-wide effort to train every salon professional in Tucson to recognize signs of domestic abuse and to direct clients to appropriate local resources.
The magazine’s 16th annual SALON TODAY 200 issue profiles best business practices in 11 categories, including Advanced Education, Compensation & Benefits, Customer Service, Environmental Sustainability, Philanthropy, Planned Profitability, Recruitment & Training, Retail & Merchandising, Retention & Referral Programs, Technology and Growth. Applicants, who represent the 25,000 top-producing salons and spas in the country, provided statistical information about their respective businesses and submitted essays that detailed their salons’ best practices.
According to Stacey Soble, editor-in-chief of the publication, “The salons named to the SALON TODAY 200 for 2013 not only proved they excel in one or more or more of these areas, they also have created rewarding environments for their staff members and standout experiences for their clients.”
Salon Today is a division of Modern Salon Media, which is owned by Vance Publishing Corporation in Lincolnshire, IL.
