“Stuff the CatTran Food Drve on April 3rd To Benefit Community Food Bank Programsby Hot Off The Press (Release) on Mar. 21, 2013, under Press Releases
Tucson: The University of Arizona Staff Advisory Council, Parking & Transportation and UA Community Relations will join forces for the fifth annual “Stuff the CatTran” Food Drive on Wednesday, April 3rd to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
The “Stuff the CatTran” Food Drive will take place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Cherry and University on the UA Campus and will benefit the Food Bank’s Child Nutrition Programs and The Emergency Food Assistance Program that distributes over 31,000 food boxes per month. Departments that have completed their campus food drives are encouraged to bring their donations to the “Stuff the CatTran” site on April 3rd.
The Tucson community is also asked to bring non-perishable food items that are in great need such as cereal, canned meats and canned vegetables. Cash contributions will also be accepted. A drive up drop-off area will be available.
The “Stuff the CatTran” Food Drive is part of the 2013 UA4Food campus-wide drive that brings together the efforts of the faculty, staff, and students. It is a program of the Office of Community Relations and is supported by the Marshall Foundation.
University of Arizona President, Ann Weaver Hart is scheduled to stop by the “Stuff the CatTran” site between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM on April 3rd.
