OBAMACARE: HOW IT AFFECTS US
Special Presentation by Dr. Jonathan Weisbuch
Tucson, ARIZ (March 26, 2013) — As President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is implemented across the United States, many are left without a clear understanding of what “Obamacare” truly is and how it works.
On Wednesday, April 10, The Aurora Foundation of Southern Arizona hosts Dr. Jonathan Weisbuch to present “Obamacare and How it Affects Us” at the YWCA Tucson. Dr. Weisbuch’s talk is part of The Aurora Foundation’s 2013 Speaker Series. YWCA Tucson is a co-sponsor of the event.
Dr, Weisbuch, a graduate of MIT, NY University College of Medicine and the Harvard School of Public Health, is a public health professional, a medical educator, and has published widely in medical literature. He speaks regularly on public health concerns and medical system reform.
“This is an especially important topic because it affects millions of people – and is particularly relevant for people with disabilities. We all have a responsibility to educate ourselves so that we can fully understand the implications of Obamacare, and gain complete access to our rights to healthcare,” said Dr. Stephanie Parker, president and founder of The Aurora Foundation.
“Obamacare and How it Affects Us” will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the YWCA Tucson’s Conference Center. Parking is free. Seating is limited – reserve online before April 8 at http://aurorafoundation.eventbrite.com.
The Aurora Foundation of Southern Arizona, Inc is the only 501(c)(3) corporation in Southern Arizona that exclusively advocates for justice for all disabled people.
