The American Association of Teachers of French has awarded a 2013 Outstanding Senior in French Award to Diana Hurtado, a senior at St. Gregory College Preparatory School.
The award is made annually to graduating seniors who have demonstrated excellence in the study of French as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken. Recipients must have completed at least three years of French study at the time of graduation and be non-native speakers of French.
Hurtado has studied French for five years and is the student of Amy Clashman.
The AATF was founded in 1927 and has as its mission the promotion of the study of the French language and French-speaking literatures and cultures at all levels.
St. Gregory is an independent school for students in grades six through twelve, with no religious affiliation.
