Science Sundays this summer at Children’s Museum Tucson
$2 Admission Sundays All Summer to feature Science Fun and Special Guests
Tucson, AZ (May 20, 2013) – It’s back! Fun-filled learning is happening this summer at the Children’s Museum Tucson with Science Sundays from May 26th through September 1st. Each Science Sunday, the Museum will offer reduced admission of only $2 per person and will feature special STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities all day long.
Science Sundays are geared for families and children of all ages to discover the fun behind STEM. Children will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations and experiments in the areas of aerospace & environmental sciences, astronomy, biology, ecology, engineering and physics. By participating in these weekly activities, children’s curiosity will be engaged sparked and allow them to expand their critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity skills.
In addition to the Museum’s own activities and projects, there will be a featured collaborator each week between 11 am and 2 pm featuring interactive activities. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum kicks off this summer program on May 26th. Other participating organizations are Physics Factory, Planetary Science Institute, Girl Scouts, Reid Park Zoo, Pima Air and Space Museum and more!
