KOLD Announces New Sales Manager
KOLD News 13 Director of Sales David Rash announced that the station has hired Greg Newton as Sales Manager. Newton joins KOLD from Tucson NBC affiliate KVOA-TV, where he has served as National Sales Manager for the past two years. Greg started at KOLD on Monday, July 8, 2013. He joins the KOLD Sales management team lead by Director of Sales David Rash, Sales Manager and Political Specialist Lynn Jeffries and Director of Digital Media Matt Copley.
“We are thrilled to add Newton to our already experienced #1 sales leadership team at KOLD,” says Rash. “Greg brings strong and diverse sales and sales management experience to the table along with deep local, regional and national relationships. We are lucky to have him on our team.”
Greg Newton has 10 solid years of diversified media sales experience in the Tucson market. Prior to KVOA-TV, Greg spent eight years in radio with both Clear Channel Communications and Cumulus Media, along with two years in the San Francisco radio market with Susquehanna Broadcasting. Before that, he began his professional career with Merrill Lynch, where he served as a Financial Consultant for five years.
KOLD News 13 Vice-President and General Manager Debbie Bush added, “Greg is a very welcome addition to our sales staff. I was very impressed with his professional style and his positive attitude.”
Greg Newton is a University of Arizona graduate with a BS in Finance and also volunteers his time to the Eller School of Management. Greg and his wife Tana, along with their two year old daughter Isabelle, reside in Tucson.
