Sahuarita Pecan Festival Off to a Running Start With 3rd Annual Breeze in the Trees Raceby Hot Off The Press (Release) on Jul. 18, 2013, under Press Releases
(SAHUARITA, Ariz.) – The Green Valley Pecan Company is hosting the third annual “Breeze in the Trees” 5K run on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Registration begins at 5:30 AM with the race starting at 6:30 AM. The race supports FICO’s goals of promote appreciation of outdoor activities to encourage health and fitness. 175 runners participated in the 2011 and 200 in 2012. All runners and guests can enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast served by Green Valley Fire District. The Pecan Store will have modified hours for July 27, 2013, opening at 8:00 am and closing at 5:00 pm.
Breeze in the Trees is a cool summer 5K through the shady Green Valley Pecan Farm and part of the proceeds will benefit the Sahuarita 4H Club. Please join us:

The Breeze in the Trees Run/Walk event will give people a sneak preview of the 2013 Sahuarita Pecan Festival ‘Pecan Classic and Family Fun Run,’ which will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
In addition to hosting the popular Sahuarita Pecan Classic and Nut Run events, the Festival will include local foods, products and crafts from the Santa Cruz River Valley, along with music, dancing and FREE Kid’s Zone sponsored by TMC for Children and family-friendly activities. The Festival will also feature 80’s and the Gentlemen on the main stage and horse drawn wagon rides for harvest demonstrations in the orchard.
