2013 Canstruction to Benefit Community Food Bank September 28th Through October 6th at Park Placeby Hot Off The Press (Release) on Sep. 17, 2013, under Press Releases
Tucson: For the fourth consecutive year, the American Institute of Architects, Southern Arizona Chapter will sponsor the 2013 Canstruction® event to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Tucson area architecture and engineering offices will design and build sculpture installations using only canned food at Park Place, 5870 East Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85711.
The construction of the sculptures will take place on Saturday, September 28th and will be on display at Park Place through Sunday, October 6th. Honors will be awarded to the most creative Canstruction® on Friday October 4th at 6:00 PM. The creations will be dismantled on October 7th and all of the canned foods will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
