Tucson: The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, its agency partners and four branch food banks, will continue most of its services, for the time being, during the current Government Shutdown.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program, Food Plus in Arizona (CSFP): We have the authority to distribute from our current inventory of Food Boxes. However, Pima County has been barred from processing new applications or reauthorizing those that have expired.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP): Food Box distribution will continue as usual with current inventory. We also have authority to distribute any shipments that arrive.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as food stamps, will continue operations and eligible households will still receive monthly benefits for October.
The Child Nutrition (CN) Programs: School Lunch, School Breakfast, the Child and Adult Care Feeding Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service will continue operations into October.
There will be no interruption of Farmers’ Market Vouchers.
