The weather forcast for Saturday is sunny and clear with a Super Moon glowing above the southwestern desert at 8:45. Thunder is not only predicted . . . but also guaranteed East of the airport!
The Thunder begins to roar this Saturday at Tucson International Raceway at 6:45 sharp! The unmistakable rumble of the 700+ horse powered traveling Southwest Late Models are featured this week along with five additional exciting racing divisions.
Brian Brown the 2011 Super Stock Champion at TIR has assumed an early points lead and he will be the “hot shoe” again this week!
Fisher Engineering has put up a $300 Bounty for anyone who can beat the undefeated Super Stock Brian Brown this weekend!!
Will Fisher Engineering also offer the $300 to Brown if he starts at the back of theFeature?
Last week Dusty Gauthier and AJ Heubner diced back and forth for the lead during the X Mod Feature before Dusty took the Checker Flag! Both drivers are fan favorites and look another great race again this week between these two talented drivers!
The Super Stocks, X-Mods, Factory Stocks, Mini Sprints and Hornets will also be racing Saturday. That is right, six different divisions with over 110 cars and drivers will be in competition for a complete show for race fans!
Brian Brown has an early 18 point lead over Dana Boatwright in the Super Stock Class. Bobby Babers is off to a great start with a 10 point lead over Kalvin Catlin, the “Spiderman”. Will Catlin have the speed, the skill and the luck needed to capture another Win and close in on Babers point lead? Dusty Gauthier has an early 4 point lead in the X Mod division over Auldon “AJ” Wright.
