Tucson, AZ- This Saturday evening, Tucson Speedway, formerly the NASCAR paved track at the Pima County Fairgrounds, will feature Super Late Models in a 100 lap race, The Southwestern Paint Summer Sizzle 100 .  The Super Late Models have 18 cars registered for this exciting night of racing action! The fan ticket booth opens at 5pm and races start at 7pm.

 

The other races featured on June 1st are the Southwest Orthopedic Surgery Specialists X Mods, Sportsman Stocks, Mini Stocks, Hornets and the START Stocks our Bomber class for beginning racers.

 

Racing isn’t the only entertainment at Tucson Speedway! The band, Mike and the Maniacs, return by popular demand and will be performing as fans arrive, at intermission and after the racesDan Severn, UFC Hall of Fame Member and 3 time UFC Heavyweight Champion will be on hand throughout the evening to visit with fans and to sign autographs.

“Big Red” our fire truck will be providing trips through the pits for families with children until the Fan Meet and Greet begins at 6pm.

Tucson Speedway, “The Action Track Built for Speed”, is a great night of affordable family entertainment.  Adults $12, Senior& Military $ 10, Young Adults 11-16 $ 6, under 11 years of age free.  Save $12 on the SPECIAL Family package of 2 Adults and 2 Children only $25. 

 

Tucson Speedway has been renovated: the racing surface has been repaired and sealed with a double coat of the high grade quality sealer, new boards are on the bleachers. The tower areas, the VIP area, grandstands, restrooms, and concession area have all been remodeled and upgraded.  Repairs and upgrades to the Tire and Fuel Barn, the Tech Shed and to the Back Gate Registration Office have all been completed.
