About
My running career began in high school when I was cut from the golf team (thankfully), and continued into college and beyond. I thought I was retired from the running world, but realized several years ago that I could not get the endorphins, personal satisfaction and camaraderie any other way. So now I enjoy running and some racing – although my knees are threatening to start a coup d’état.
I enjoy being an active member of Tucson’s running community. I’m on the board of the Southern Arizona Roadrunners, run with some great folks in the Workout Group and I even direct a race or two. I am also a proud member of The Slow Old Goat Running Team (Motto: “Hey, we may be slow, but we’re old”).
I moved to Tucson more than 30 years ago, and after side trips to Flagstaff and Kansas, now love that Tucson is home. Just recently, after many stints in the television advertising and marketing world, I now find myself doing a variety of endeavors, but always around running and being active. So please enjoy the musings and occasional ramblings – I’m looking forward to sharing a love of running and especially running in southern Arizona.
