DENVER The higher the level, the better Diamondbacks prospect Archie Bradley pitches.
The right-hander turned in yet another dominant outing for Double-A Mobile on Saturday, giving up one run in six innings. His ERA with Mobile stands at 0.90 through four starts. He posted a 1.26 ERA in five starts with High-A Visalia before a promotion.

DENVER During a game last week, after the Diamondbacks’ Cliff Pennington was called out on strikes in the 10th inning on a pitch clearly outside of the strike zone, Diamondbacks broadcaster Bob Brenly sounded as if he’d had enough.
“I’m telling you,” Brenly said on the air, “you get into extra innings, you get into the late innings of a close ballgame, you don’t want the umpire to determine who wins a ballgame.”

Bad news for the Suns: Nerlens Noel almost definitely will not join them; Phoenix won one more game than Cleveland, the team that won the NBA draft lottery’s top pick; the lottery dropped the Suns from the fourth-worst record to the fifth overall pick in the June 27 draft.
Good news for the Suns: Noel is no superstar and will not join any team until December because of knee rehabilitation; this draft is such that the fifth pick might be of comparable quality to the first; the last time the Suns picked fifth, it was Rookie of the Year and Suns Ring of Honor member Walter Davis.

Recap: Wilin Rosario’s walkoff single to right field drove home Carlos Gonzalez in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Rockies a 5-4 win on Tuesday night at Coors Field.
Gonzalez got things started with one out in the 10th by lining a double into right field off Diamondbacks reliever Matt Reynolds. The Diamondbacks then walked Troy Tulowitzki to bring up Rosario, who shot the first pitch he saw down the right-field line to end it.

The ongoing feud between Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia, which started during the third round of The Players Championship, has taken an ugly twist.
On Monday, Garcia told reporters in England that Woods hasn’t been honest in 15 years. Garcia was on stage at the European Tour awards dinner Tuesday, where he was asked by Steve Sands of the Golf Channel, in jest, if he would be inviting Woods over for dinner during the U.S. Open. Garcia’s reply was shocking.

At their spring meeting on Tuesday, NFL owners awarded Super Bowl L in 2016 to the Bay Area and the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, ending what will be a 13-year drought for the state that has hosted 11 Super Bowls.
