Judkins away, will he ever play (again) at UA?

by on Jan. 05, 2010, under Sports

Have we seen the last of sophomore guard Garland Judkins?

Hard to say “yes” or a “no” but he hasn’t been with the team in recent days because he’s back in Texas to be with family after his grandfather passed away recently.

Arizona coach Sean Miller said today in the weekly Pac-10 Conference teleconference call that reports of Judkins leaving “are all premature.’’

“When we release a player goes that’s when it is definite,’’ said Miller.

Miller said he had not had a chance to sit down with Judkins or talk to his family.

There has been wide speculation among media members that Judkins would transfer at the semester in part because he hadn’t played much this season. He was averaging 4.3 minutes a game, but had played in just six games. He is averaging 1.2 points per game.

That said, it was a surprise he would return at all this season after a suspension-filled first season last year under interim coach Russ Pennell.

His grandfather dies and you speculate whether he is leaving the team? Nice going…jerks

    STR-Wrong J-Ass, it’s official, he’s leaving. Oh, and I accept your apology :)

How am I wrong? His grandfather didn’t die?  Even if he is leaving how about showing him some courtesy and respect?
J-ass after your Book’em Dan-o? Dude, you know you are a little sh!t. Don’t even come back it at me with anything, cause you know you are.
If Judkins is leaving, I hope he ends up like Bynum…you know the Georgia Tech guard that has accomplished more than all the UofA guards in the last 8 years.

Hey STD-How are you wrong? For one thing you show up as some loud mouth know nothing. My original post was ONLY about the fact that he’d be gone and I’m right which apparently got your panties in a knot.
You’re a moron if you think he has the talent of Bynum. Did it occur to you challenged mind that his lack of talent led to little to none playing time? Noooooo
    You run his fan club?
