On Thursday evening April 11 at 6:30 pm, the public is invited to attend a lecture with Michael Tamura, author, spiritual teacher and clairvoyant visionary about his THREE Near-Death Experiences titled: Three Deaths and No Funeral. The lecture will be held at Unity of Tucson located at 3617 Camino Blanco in their main auditorium.

On August 10, 2011, while he was at his gym working out on the elliptical machine, Michael Tamura dropped dead for the third time in his life when his heart just stopped. The first medical responder estimated that he had less than a 4% chance of survival even after the paramedics were able to kick-start his heart some ten minutes after he was found on the floor without a pulse.

While Michael was in emergency surgery, doctors, nurses, and even a priest told his wife that if he should survive, he would not be the same man she knew – he would be brain damaged. Only a faith healer, a friend, coming out of a deep prayer healing session told his wife, “The Holy Spirit said that Michael will return with no brain damage at all.”

Michael Tamura did return for a third time, mentally not only intact, but more aware and inspired. When first asked what he would like to say to everyone awaiting word from him, he laughed and said, “The body gets all the press, but, it’s the spirit that matters.”

In his lecture this coming Thursday you will hear much wit and wisdom in his inspiring talk on choosing how to die, the practice of dying, and what it means to live the miracle as an immortal soul while we are still incarnated in this world.

Mr. Tamura has died three times – and returned each time with more of life to share. Although there are a growing number of case studies of those who have returned to physical life after their clinical deaths, few, if any, had been living aware of themselves as immortal souls, regularly teaching out-of-the-body spiritually, and practicing how to die correctly for years prior to their death or near-death experiences.

Michael had been consciously doing all of these things and more as a spiritual teacher, healer, and clairvoyant for over 32 years by the time that he had his first experience of physically dying in 2006.

Born and raised in Japan, yet educated in American schools, Mr. Tamura has spent a lifetime bridging gaps: Not only between East and West, but between men and women, the young and old, heart and soul, life and the afterlife – and, above all, between humanity and Divinity. He is known around the world as a spiritual teacher, clairvoyant visionary, and pioneer of healing and psychic development.

Michael has been featured on CNN, NBC’s The Leeza Show, The New Ricki Lake Show, Bridging Heaven & Earth, Gaiam TV, The Aware Show, Hay House Radio, and many other media programs. He was also included in ABC News’ The Century: America’s Time with Peter Jennings. Currently in production is a documentary film featuring Michael and his three profound death experiences.

Michael appeared as a guest expert in the film, The Indigo Evolution. As a pioneer in the field of spiritual healing and psychic development, his insightful articles have been published in magazines internationally. He also wrote the final chapter, “Nourishing the Soul of the Psychic Child” in James Twyman’s book, Messages From Thomas: Raising Psychic Children as well as the first chapter in Susan Suntree’s anthology, The Wisdom of the East.

Today, the award-winning author of YOU ARE THE ANSWER, is working on his latest book, THREE TIMES DEAD and What It Taught Me: A Journey Into the Heart of Wisdom, as he continues to provide psychic tools and spiritual practices to illuminate the way home for awakening souls.

I am sure there are many skeptics reading this material that are not convinced there is life after death or that some people have healing abilities or clairvoyant visionary ability. These people are invited to attend his lecture and ask questions after his talk as has been standard practice at all the guest speaker series of NDE lectures provided by the Tucson Chapter of IANDS. It is recommended you arrive early to assure a seat in this popular lecture series.

The public is invited to see Anita Moorjani speak about her near-death experience and cure from terminal cancer that astounded the medical profession around the world. This lecture by Mrs. Moorjani is part of a series of NDE presentations by the Tucson chapter of IANDS (International Association for Near Death Studies).

The presentation will take place at the Jewish Community Center in Tucson this Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 PM. The audience will be totally amazed to hear from someone that was in the final days of life in a condition hard to comprehend. After her Near-Death Experience she became completely cured and testifies that there is life after death.

In April 2002, Anita Moorjani was diagnosed with lymphoma and for four years struggled to fight the disease by exploring many potential cures. Some worked for a short while but eventually her organs started shutting down. After a few years at Stage 4b, her body stopped absorbing nutrients and her muscles wasted away until she could not walk and was wheel chair bound. Her head hung from her neck like an oversized bowling ball and she could not breathe without a portable oxygen tank that never left her side. Her husband stayed awake to make sure she did not stop breathing during the night.

During what was thought to be her final days alive she was rushed to the hospital. She had tumors the size of lemons throughout her lymphatic system from the base of her skull to below her abdomen. Her brain was filled with fluid as were her lungs. Her skin had developed lesions that were weeping with toxins. The doctors informed her family members that she would not be alive much longer after she dropped into a coma for over 30 hours. This is when she had her near-death experience that transformed her life forever.

When she came back to conscientiousness, she knew she would be healthy again. Within two weeks the doctors let her leave the hospital as she was totally cured with no evidence of cancer in her body. Medical professionals are astounded by this miraculous recovery.

Anita Moorjani was born in Singapore of Hindu parents from India, moved to Hong Kong at the age of two, and has lived in Hong Kong most of her life. As a result of her near-death experience, Anita speaks at conferences and events around the globe to share her insights. This is a unique opportunity for Tucsonans to hear of her amazing recovery and to hear the “why” she feels that she developed the cancer.

Her fascinating and moving near-death experience in early 2006 tremendously changed her perspective on life, and her work is now ingrained with the deep insights she gained while in the other realm. She shares much of her personal story and transformation in her bestselling book: Dying To Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing.

This is a rare event for Tucson to have an opportunity to hear this extraordinary story from someone that faced death and experienced the knowledge there is life after death. Anita Moorjani will be available for book signings after the talk.

LOCATION: Jewish Community Center auditorium at 3800 E. River Rd.

DATE & TIME OF EVENT: Thursday, March 21,6:30 p.m. (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)

ADMISSION: $5.00 – seats on a first come basis (come early).

A “near death experience” changed a Colorado cowboy to become a Hawai’ian Kahuna priest. In the spring of 1982, when Arthur Costello was 34 years old, he was in a flooded crawlspace under his home when caught in the grip of 30 amps of electricity powered by 220 volts from an electric hot water heater that had shorted out in the water.

When his ‘lifeless’ body was pulled from under the house his back was broken in 4 places, and his hips, shoulder joints, heart, and brain were all severely damaged. He suffered a second near-death experience two years later when his heart stopped beating properly due to the electrical damage.

On Thursday, January 10 at 6:30 PM the public is invited to attend an amazing NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE lecture by Lono, a Kahuna priest, presented by TIES http://www.tucsoniands.org) of Tucson. It will be held at Unity of Tucson located at 3617 N. Camino Blanco. (Off River Road between Swan and Craycroft) All events (except workshops) are offered for a $5 suggested donation (no one is turned away).

During both of these powerful NDE experiences transformed a man’s life and set the stage for his life’s work. Arthur Costello was born in 1948 in a small mountain town in Colorado called Salida. From his earliest years he knew he was born to be a priest. He talked about it so much that his parents sent him to a Benedictine Monastery when he was 13 years old. When he was 18 he left not only the monastery, but also the Catholic Church. He felt he had to do this because he wasn’t able to reconcile what he had been taught in the monastery with truth as he was beginning to see it.

As transformative as these experiences were for Mr. Costello, there was more to come. After moving to Hawai’i in the early summer of 1992, Costello and his wife Lani were “found” by members of an old world Hawai’ian clan known as the Mo’o.

The Mo’o are the remnants of a nearly forgotten people who thrived for nearly 2,000 years before an invasion from Tahiti in 1,250 AD destroyed their enlightened culture and replaced it with the bloodthirsty reign of the Ali’i kings.

He and his wife were told they were the “new world brother and sister that had been expected by the Mo’o.” The representatives of this ancient clan said they recognized Lono (Mr. Costello) because he was teaching their Message which had never been written before. He was using certain words in certain ways and teaching concepts in ways only members of their priesthood clan knew. Because of this, they not only knew who Lono was, but also that he had been born to fulfill, renew, and spread the ancient Mo’o Message to people across the world.

After three months of living, learning, and sharing with these magical people, Lono and Lani were formally adopted by them, given their names, and ordained kahuna priests. Lono was ordained Kahuna Kupua A’o meaning “Master Teacher of the Light” and Lani was ordained Kahuna Kupua Pule meaning “Master Teacher of Prayer.”

To the Mo’o, Lono was the fulfillment a prophecy. Before the Tahitian invasion the indigenous Hawai’ians had lived in a balanced, happy, and abundant society without kings, war, or much in the way of crime. It was a culture founded upon the principles and skills taught by a system of wisdom they called Ho’ala Huna meaning “The Secret Knowledge of That Which Is Real.” After the invasion, the Ali’i marked all Mo’o priests and their families for execution and this precious wisdom became a closely guarded secret passed down through generations.

The surviving Mo’o made the preservation of this wisdom a most sacred trust. Their prophecy was that there would come a time when a priest from the Light/New World would be reunited with a priesthood brother from the Dark/Old World in a certain place on the Big Island of Hawai’i. This meeting would mark the rebirth of a powerful healing message to a world in pain. It would happen when this message could “fly around the world as if on wings of a bird.”

Shortly, after their ordinations, Lono and Lani were sent back to the United States to lay the foundation for the movement of Ho’ala Huna into the modern world. Since that time in 1992 they have dedicated their lives to integrating these ancient teachings into western society by teaching classes and seminars, leading retreats, writing books and articles, and building an extensive website in preparation to disseminate the wisdom to larger audiences.

Those individuals who take the time to master Ho’ala Huna lessons find a deeply increased sense of personal freedom and peace and an increased ability to make a powerful difference in our world. Ho’ala and Huna are Hawai’ian words that mean “that which causes an awakening to the secret/sacred knowledge of that which is real.

In 1997, Jeff Olsen, experienced a catastrophic automobile accident which caused the instant death of his wife and youngest son and multiple life threatening injuries to him. The devastating accident crushed both his legs resulting in his left leg being amputated above the knee. At that time, Jeff had a profound near death experience deepening his spirituality and gave him insights and gifts not common in today’s world. Having that glimpse into heaven gave him the courage he needed to carry on and care for his son that lived through the accident.

Jeff Olsen’s former wife and child that died in the accident

This Thursday, December 13, Jeff Olsen will be the guest speaker in the 2012 – 2013 TIES Guest Speaker Series. At Thursday’s lecture you will hear how Jeff’s NDE contributed to overcoming the unfathomable grief and physical challenges he experienced. Jeff has just released a book describing his experience and recovery entitled “I Knew Their Hearts: The Amazing True Story of a Journey Beyond the Veil to Learn the Silent Language of the Heart”. Mr. Olsen will sign copies of his book after this Thursday’s presentation.

Mr. Olsen has since remarried and adopted two more sons. Jeff’s greatest joy comes from being a husband and father. He is a visionary man whose experiences have left him with deep spiritual insights and an ability to love more fully. His mission is to assist people in consciously embracing who they are and the connection they share with others and the universe. He is best described as simply a friend and brother, dedicated to truth, love, and unity.

Toole Avenue will have an extreme make-over consisting of the installation of more than 100 plants and trees and creative contributions from local artists, arts organizations, and businesses this weekend.

On Saturday, October 22, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Tucson community will come together on National Make a Difference Day to completely transform the street at the heart of the Historic Warehouse Arts District.

During the past several months, Toole Avenue between 6th and Stone avenues has been getting spruced up here and fixed up there. Now, the community will finish the transformation in a day packed full of arts activities and performances that highlight the artists, art spaces and businesses along the refurbished Toole Avenue Artwalk and throughout the Tucson Historic Warehouse Arts District.

“We have pulled together a committed group, including the City of Tucson, Warehouse Arts Management Organization, property owners and community partners, to rehabilitate this important part of the Historic Warehouse Arts District,” says Michael Keith, CEO of the Downtown Tucson Partnership, which helped organize the event. “This kind of collaborative effort can be utilized to contribute to other infrastructure projects that are key to downtown.”

When completed, Toole Avenue improvements will include decorated planters with trees and shrubs, sidewalk repairs, the addition of ADA-compliant crosswalk ramps, installation of a bus shelter and bike racks, new fencing, and patio, lighting upgrades, and public artworks on both public and private spaces.

“The Toole Avenue Streetscape Project is the culmination of years of work by many people to preserve historic warehouses as spaces for the arts,” says Elizabeth Burden, president of WAMO. “The October 22 event is an opportunity for all Tucsonans to make a difference in this part of downtown, and to learn more about all that is happening in the Warehouse Arts District.”

For more information about the Toole Avenue Streetscape Project, visit www.DowntownTucson.org, contact the Downtown Tucson Partnership at (520) 837-6504 or info@downtucson.org. For more information about the Tucson Historic Warehouse Arts District, visit TheWarehouseArtsDistrict.com.

This article may help you discover the greatest hope for people suffering from PTSD that you have ever read. Today there are literally hundreds of thousands of returning veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from their combat experiences. There are also hundreds of thousands of average Americans suffering from some traumatic experience in their lives resulting in PTSD.

Today people suffering from this terrific illness have new hope with the “drug free” therapy of NEUROFEEDBACK. Unfortunately, only a very few Veterans’ hospitals utilize this treatment for returning veterans. The main therapy used today in the military is cognitive therapy (talk therapy) and drugs. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE! Further down in this article you will see 37 YEARS TO RECOVERY FOR A VIETNAM VETERAN! that will really open your eyes to the new hope these revolutionary treatments offer.

In my opinion if a pharmaceutical drug had proven the same benefits that neurofeedback has demonstrated it would be a front-page story all over the world. Why neurofeedback is not accepted now as standard treatment for a slew of illnesses still amazes me and shows the power of the drug companies. Once the health insurance companies realize the benefits and start paying for these life-changing treatments PTSD sufferers will experience a rapid change in their lives. Neurofeedback is definitely NOT a quick fix, but offers some of the greatest hope to our returning heroes who have put their lives on the line to protect our freedom.

Many of our returning veterans also suffer from TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and in some cases severe depression. If any of you have read my previous articles you will realize that neurofeedback in many instances CAN help reverse those maladies as well.

http://tucsoncitizen.com/tc-off-topic/2011/02/01/miraculous-recovery-from-traumatic-brain-injury-with-neurofeedback-therapy/

http://tucsoncitizen.com/art/2010/09/22/neurofeedback-a-revolutionary-new-drug-free-treatment-for-ptsd-add-adhd-traumatic-brain-injury-depression-and-other-maladies/

After researching this subject for several months I am totally convinced that neurofeedback WILL give many people suffering from PTSD their lives back. PTSD not only affects the returning veteran but also has a dramatic effect on the lives of those that love them such as their wives, children and parents. Often our veterans turn to alcohol to help them cope. With proper neurofeedback treatments, alcoholism too can be healed.

There are several neurofeedback companies and practitioners that have a proven tract record in PTSD treatment. Please view their websites to inform yourself of just how effective these treatments have resolved PTSD problems.

During my interview with the founder of the neurofeedback company Brain Paint, Bill Scott, stated to me that with his 18 years of experience of working and observing clients with PTSD, he has never found an easier solution than EEG biofeedback also known as neurofeedback and specifically his use of the alpha-theta protocol, a training process scientifically proven to improve PTSD. http://treatment-for-ptsd.com/#/post-traumatic-stress-disorder/

Articles by Bill Scott on PTSD:

In 1993, Bill Scott and Eugene Peniston did a UCLA study that helped 24 returning native American veterans heal from PTSD: http://neurofeedback-system.com/#/our-story/

Brain Paint is now working with a school in Alaska where many of the kids are suffering from PTSD and other maladies. Their technology is helping them overcome their illness. Story in Juneau, Alaska paper: http://juneauempire.com/stories/021311/loc_784993299.shtm

Another company, EEG Institute, has developed a program that is helping hundreds of returning veterans receive neurofeedback treatment free of charge. Their program has helped many to “get their lives back!” This is an excellent site to view their program HOMECOMING 4 VETERANS and to possibly connect with a free provider if you are a veteran. http://www.homecoming4veterans.org/

Many of you reading this article may have suffered PTSD for many years and do not realize that it is never too late to reverse these conditions. The following story will convince you and hopefully cause you to seek help. It is never too late.

37 YEARS TO RECOVERY FROM PTSD FOR VIETNAM VETERAN!

Bob Mills ( not his real name), a Vietnam veteran, suffered over 37 years from PTSD and it was not until he was about to lose his wife and the love of his children that he finally sought help. His PTSD trauma return was brought on by the Iraq war news. In 2003 he and thousands of veterans like him were affected after the invasion of Iraq.

The VA rated Bob as 70 % disabled for PTSD and 30% unemployable. He had gone untreated since the Christmas of 1968 when his trauma began. A number of years ago he sought treatment from the VA. They paid for his cognitive therapy (talk therapy) but he stated to me the only benefit from that 3 years of talk was to make him more aware of his condition.

At this same time he was suffering from high blood pressure (also a symptom of PTSD) and started using the Health Buddy Monitor System at his VA hospital. His cognitive therapy physician told him he was actually using biofeedback. He found out later that this therapist, who has since retired, had neurofeedback available but the VA only paid for cognitive therapy.

Out of desperation, because his condition was about to make him lose his loving wife of 35 years, he pursued help. His wife showed him the bruises he caused her because of the reactions to his nightmares during sleep. These bruises were obviously not intentional but a symptom of his PTSD.

He searched the Internet looking for an answer to help him. He discovered the free program to veterans, HOMECOMING4VETERANS, and found a practitioner in the Ozark mountain area where he had escaped almost 40 years ago. The practitioner was over 4 hours from his remote home, which was almost ten miles from a paved road where he and his family had lived off the grid all this time. Out of compassion this therapist contacted a therapist that was only 1 1/2 hours from his home and she agreed to help him. She is a nuerofeedback practitioner but had never worked with a PTSD client before. He began therapy treatments with her in June 2009. This therapy changed his life forever and he told me that this woman was the first person who ever showed him any human compassion in his life other than his immediate family.

During these new therapy sessions he identified over 30 areas of concern including sleep, attention, anger, depression, nervous habits and high blood pressure. She has used a number of various treatments with Mr. Mills including emWave therapy, and heartmath and nutritional counseling she feels is extremely important to physical well-being. Starting in his second session she incorporated neurofeedback training using the EEG system from eegspectrum (http://wwweegspectrum.com)

Within 4 sessions his nightmares during sleep had reduced. After 8 sessions he started to reduce his use of anxiety medication and noticed his “trigger arm” was starting to relax more often. By session 13 his nightmares occurred once every 2 weeks instead of 2 times a week. He reported being peaceful and happy instead of the constant anger he had experienced when he woke up.

During this time he started recalling incidents and events from his time in Vietnam he had not previously remembered. He sought out contacts from that time period and these men together started putting the pieces together of what they had experienced and started the process of letting go of the emotional charge.

By session 29 the therapist started using the Alpha-Theta protocol, which had been used extensively for PTSD, and addiction issues, and major changes began to happen. He decided to attend his granddaughter’s high school graduation some 1000 miles away. For over 30 years he and his wife had been living isolated far out into the country because he felt uncomfortable doing day-to-day activities in town including going to movies and shows. He told me that prior to these treatments if he had to go inside a place with people he would always find the spot near a wall where no one could come behind him. He did make this long trip to visit his family and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Bob is now going to the movies and has attended an exhibition at the local arts center.

Because of his progress he is now reaching out to other Vets he met through the VA. Since Bob was still experiencing some residual emotional triggers she suggested to him to use a program called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). These treatments also helped him immensely. In May of 2010 he remembered one of his dreams for the first time in 20 years and had lost 20# of weight. In October of 2010, Bob Mills started to write poetry. To date he has written over 20 poems and some have won awards through the VA. He continues to exercise and now has lost a total of 35 pounds. He has brought his blood pressure down to 120s/70s and now sleeps 6-7 hours of sleep every night. His wife and children are amazed at the positive changes in him.

Here is the truth to this type therapy where the present methods of treating PTSD “have not worked!” In less than 2 years of therapy he was able to erase what 40 years of VA therapy and medications could not touch.

WHICH IS MORE EFFECTIVE? WHICH HELPS THE VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES REGAIN A NORMAL LIFE AGAIN? The answer to me is obvious. We don’t need more suicides to happen or more deadly outbursts from soldiers that if they had gotten proper help in time probably would never have done the atrocities that happened.

If you know someone suffering from PTSD please forward this article to him or her and let him or her realize that there is proven help for them. If you have contacts within the government or military please send them my article and open their eyes to this revolutionary drug-free healing method. Our American heroes that put their lives on the line for us deserve the best treatment we can provide them.

Local Tucson resident, Ken Willingham, is a new testimonial of the benefits of neurofeedback therapy.

Picture of human brain

On December 29, 2003, while on vacation, Ken rode his Ducati motorcycle into a K-Mart parking lot when suddenly a speeding automobile crashed into his motorcycle, crushing his helmet and knocking him unconscious before speeding off. The hit and run driver has never been found. The accident happened about 12:30 p.m. that day.

Fortunately someone saw Mr. Willingham and the wreckage of his motorcycle and called an emergency ambulance rushing him to the University Medical Center to save his life. His wife did not find out about the accident until after 6:30 p.m. that evening. He was unconscious for a long period and when able to gain consciousness he could not remember anything about the accident. He was diagnosed with moderate to severe Traumatic Brain Injury. The top-of-the-line helmet he was wearing at the time of the accident was badly damaged.

At the hospital he had zero memory for several weeks and was eventually moved to Health South for rehabilitation. He was there for three weeks and eventually after 40 days gained some memory back. His wife Barbara Stahura has written a journal on the entire experience as it happened. Besides the TBI he was diagnosed with a stable occipital condyle of the spine and was fitted with a neck brace. He had to wear the brace for 5 ½ months. Mr. Willingham was retired from I. B.M. as a computer programmer and had taken a job at Raytheon as a programmer at the time of the accident. He eventually was able to go back to work for about 2 hours a day and in time worked up to 4 hours. Unfortunately even though he could work a few hours a day he suffered working memory problems. Returning to his old occupation was extremely difficult.

The medical profession advised him “he was as good as he was ever going to be after two years from the accident.” He continued attempting to work but suffered severely with his working memory and his speaking ability. He found it extremely difficult to talk and be understood. To give you an example of the difficulties he endured is to understand how he works. He has two monitors on his desk. One is for the files and the other for where it goes. (conceptual and procedural) Within 3 seconds of making a decision he would have total loss of memory and not know what he did or where he put the file.

It was seven long years and lots of struggle before he found out about neurofeedback. In October of 2010 he started taking his first treatments at local MindWorks Studio in Tucson with Larry Honig PhD, a neurofeedback practitioner. At MindWorks Studio they use a number of programs depending on the circumstances and needs of the patient. With Mr. Willingham they used the method called LENS. (LENS stands for Low Energy Neurofeedback System) It has proven to treat TBI victims with great results. There are several other programs at MindWorks Studio that have also proven highly effective for TBI.

By the fourth LENS session his memory began to improve substantially and his stumbling with words ceased. After 13 sessions his computer programming ability dramatically improved and his conceptual and procedural ability rapidly returned.
