Thank you all for another great year together. 2012 will be one to remember.

At the beginning 2011, the winners of last year’s election were sworn in, which included all the statewide elected offices in Arizona, from governor down to state superintendent.

They were all minorities and would attempt to enslave the white people in 2011.

Jan Brewer, Tom Horne, Ken Bennett, John Huppenthal, Russell Pearce, John McCain, all the top leaders of Arizona and oppressing the white people since they are all Latinos.

Racism requires a group that is in power to use their power against other races. Don’t confuse prejudice and racism. Latinos and blacks cannot use their power as the poorest socio-economic class to oppress the ruling class.

But that does not mean the myths of false victimhood cannot be perpetuated.

Affirmative action, reverse racism and what not. Yes, Latinos now run the country and the corporations. We are the 1% oligarchy and we all know the secret handshake the Illuminati taught us.

Even religion is brought into this to scare the white people. Claims on the Jon Justice show that Mexican Americans are trying to set up “Aztec parochial schools” all over Tucson are laughable, but people are naive and afraid, and they believe in this just as they believe in virgins giving birth.

A class was set up in Tucson schools called “American History / Mexican American perspectives.” This perspective will now be banned, as one of the first things colonizers do in conquest is to control the history.

It is not that human beings were already living here in Tucson and Arizona for centuries and then came people from the east, it’s that civilization only existed in the east and westward went this progress against savages and wilderness needed to be tamed.

Books written by Mexican Americans are also going to be banned from American literature classes, books written in the Southwest that students may identify more with, although nowadays a connection with cults and scarlet A’s from Nathaniel Hawthorne (“safe” American author) seem to be an example of history repeating itself, as Mark Stegeman brings the witch trials from the state he was educated in, Mass, to wage a witch-hunt against MAS.

White privilege allows one to not even need the “Anglo-” hyphenation as that is just what is implied when one talks about American history and literature.

Ironically, there are non-Chicanos in MAS classes, including white students, and you can see them defending the program to this day. One student I know is half-black and half-white, and never was she taught to hate her white mother, and in fact, you can see her mother at just about every event wearing her defend Ethnic Studies T-shirt.

This same student stood before Russell Pearce himself in the Senate chamber to defend Mexican American Studies.

Also more contradictory are all the white or half-white Ethnic Studies teachers. Some hate whitey so much they married him and have children that love both their parents as they love each other.

This is what makes the whole idea of these classes “teach hate” laughable. What does that even mean?

The only hate being taught is for the right-wing to hate the MAS classes, classes that are misunderstood, misrepresented and lied about for fear of the educated students and critical thinkers it produces.

But if you want the biggest example of how racist and unreasonable Latinos are, consider one of the biggest political events in Arizona this year.

The recall of Russell Pearce

All these Latinos joined with moderate Republicans and the Democrats to recall Russell Pearce. Then they worked hard to get which Mexican open-border marxist islamic-mexican-catholic Aztlanero to replace him?

Oh yeah, they didn’t.

Senator Jerry Lewis.

They worked hard to get a white Republican Mormon named Jerry Lewis into office.

All we want is for the attacks on us to stop. Stop blaming immigrants for everything (that includes you too Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly). Stop racial profiling against Latinos. Stop attacking our education and calling our perspective of history and literature invalid and un-American.

Somos MAS Americanos!

We are not afraid to help white Republicans if that is what it takes to get rid of white supremacists, and we are not afraid to challenge Democrats like Ann Kirkpatrick who threw Native Americans under the bus, not voting for the DREAM Act when they had the power to do so.

The issue is one of justice and of humanity. This is what the main struggle in 2012 will be about.

HB2281 was the third attempt from the AZ legislature to ban Ethnic Studies.

One of the attempts was actually part of a homeland security bill that declared Ethnic Studies a threat to this nation. The only thing stopping these bills was Janet Napolitano, the governor of the state with veto power who left us after President Obama got elected. After Jan Brewer came into office, the floodgate of xenophobia and racism was released upon the state.

John Huppenthal wants to end Ethnic Studies at universities also. He has vowed to "Stop La Raza."

HB2281 was written by Tom Horne, and he has admitted that it was targeted at stopping the MAS program in TUSD. He admits that other Ethnic Studies program in TUSD should be banned also, but he will only target MAS.

Jan Brewer signed the bill last year and one of Tom Horne’s last acts in office was to find TUSD in non-compliance of the newly minted law. What was once legal is now illegal, and illegal sounds so bad until you realize that anything that is legal today can be illegal in a year, based on the lawmakers.

John Huppenthal was also involved in the progress of HB2281. He had three amendments to the bill that passed which was convenient for him since he would be assuming the unheard of power that would be given to the state superintendent in that bill.

The state superintendent could declare any program in violation of HB2281, and the only way to get into compliance is to make the superintendent happy. He basically became a Censorship Czar, finding excerpts in books that he does not agree with and using them to ban not only the class, but the entire program that they were used in.

The Senate sponsor of the bill was Tucson’s own version of Russell Pearce, the extreme right-wing Frank Antenori, the new Senate majority whip that said that he wanted the Republican that replaced Russell Pearce, Jerry Lewis, to not be allowed to sit with the Republicans, nor on the Senate floor, but outside on the lawn.

Insiders report that Frank Antenori has been lobbying Linda Arzoumanian lately on who to appoint. There is nothing wrong with this, as many have been contacting her to make the right choice. But it does reveal Sugiyama’s political background based on who it is that is pushing him.

And indeed she chose the choice of the right, as in right-wing, at a pivotal time in survival of Ethnic Studies.

Supposedly Sugiyama, the new TUSD board member, was Antenori’s choice. Getting Antenori’s opinion on this appointment should be revealing if any TV news are up interviewing him.

The early reports that I got about Sugiyama is that he is indeed very conservative, and if he is Antenori’s choice than that is very revealing, as will be his stance on Ethnic Studies since Antenori was the Senate sponsor of the bill and he hates Mexican American history and literature being taught in Tucson.

Sugiyama is a lecturer in the UA Economics department, the same department that Mark Stegeman is from. What are the chances?

It seems Stegeman is flexing his muscle, and as the smartest right-winger on the board, his influence is probably strong with them. Now we have two of him, two economists that will trade justice for 10%. I wonder what the threshold was for them.

Would they let MAS be taught if it was only a $10 fine? Probably.

What about $100. $1000? At what point does one sell out for money instead of justice?

What do Sugiyama’s students have to say about him? From RateMyProfessor.com, his ratings for the last two years are revealing, especially since they are 100% negative. Not bashing him, mind you, just saying that:

He dislikes teaching and admits it to you.

Even the A students didn’t like him.

AVOID (reasons): 1. Resents his own job such that he’s consistently 15 mins late to 1hr class; 2. Reads straight off his handouts; 3. Pretentious. Despite receiving an A in his class, I’ve never met a teacher who hates students this much and who singlehandedly embarrasses the entire Economics department. Avoid him for 479 if you can.

The pretentious and condenscending theme seems to come up a lot, which seems like a perfect person to rule over Tucson’s largest school district.

He was very weird and unhelpful and condescending during office hours, to the point where I just felt extremely uncomfortable.

How helpful will he be? Will he cater to those that need help, that need their education defended, or will he just cater to the 1%, since SALC, Tucson’s club for the 1%, was represented on the committee that chose him?

Probably the worst teach I have ever had. He is completely rude, and don’t bother going to office hours – he does not want to help you!

Luckily both UA Economics professors have their seats up for election in 2012. Unfortunately we will have to deal with both of them for the entirety of 2012, and supposedly this is going to be a historic year, one that they will also probably try to ban in Arizona for future generations.

Oh yeah, and the Pima superintendent’s seat is up for grabs in 2012. The Democrats haven’t run a candidate since the turn of the century, and now is the time to take over that seat also.
