Broaden american history studies including relevant mexican american contributions. We need more american history in schools. If necessary, add a required semester or two.

MAS is all about the positive, there is no negative at least in comparison to any other program in regards closing the achievement gap between Chicanos and whites. There are no programs in TUSD that accomplish this. Nothing should be changed about this highly successful program. On the contrary the district as a whole should commit itself to  truly learn about the philosophies and pedagogy of the MAS program. The community isn’t being torn apart, as a matter of fact the community is uniting against anyone that is willing to accept these racist and unjust laws that are being enforced upon us.

It’s time to end this devisive mudslinging and distortion. It has all become very tiring.
Please take heed of Pamela Powers Hannley’s excellent op-ed column in today’s Arizona Daily Star, “Let’s cut the hype on ethnic studies and act for the kids.”  As she suggested, now is the time to rebuild on the positive aspects of MAS. This can only be accomplished by letting go of the eternal devisive rhetoric that has been tearing the community apart.

Thank God!!!  I am sooooo tired!!  It has become clear that this is an agenda that has NOTHING !!! t0 do with students and educational achievement.  It is an agenda that  is the divisive ego driven agenda of adults.
