Michelle Marks Integrative Practitionerby Tyler Woods on Jun. 04, 2013, under Bussiness
Tucson Biz Beat looks hard to find local based business and artists. In the past year we have found some great local businesses and today, Tucson Biz Beat proudly salutes Michelle Marks owner and originator of Temple Love Yoga. With commitment to personal and collective evolution, Marks dedicates herself to living yoga as a universal path as well as honoring traditional teachings and practices to wake up to all aspects of ourselves, to incredible joy in our lives and to our highest potential.
With a background in massage therapy and yoga studies, Michelle has a Masters in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis on mind/body integration. She is continuing her education to get a degree in holistic health so she can seamlessly merge her studies into an integrative practice.
Marks shares and blends the creative sequencing inspired by the elements of nature in her more fluid vinyasa classes, as well as yin sequences of long held poses to enliven the physical and energetic bodies. She is a dedicated student of subtle anatomy, the bhakti path of devotion, the language of the heart, and the teachings of kindness and compassion. Michelle uses the support of medicinal essential oils, meditation, and cranio-sacral therapy in her practices. She works in partnership with her clients to discover what practices would be most healing and nourishing on their journey. In her own teachings, there is often a flavor of grounded joy that is found through embracing all of life. This approach is influenced by her studies in Buddhist psychology, somatic psychology, psycho-spiritual inquiry and neuropsychology.
“I am passionate about working with women who are embracing transitional times in life that can lead to emotional overwhelm, neglect of self-care and continued personal and relational development,” Michelle states. ” I support women in learning how to accept, meet and grow from the unexpected turns that happen in life leading to a greater sense of empowerment, and joy and a return to the sacred feminine.”
Michelle’s mission is to support individuals in the cultivation of integrated personal practices. In her private yoga therapy practice, Michelle helps her clients in finding emotional freedom and spiritual growth during difficult life transitions. I personally know Michelle Marks and can tell you that she is amazing and anyone would be blessed to work with this extraordinary integrative practitioner. Her counseling degree allows her to focus on women reclaiming their personal self and learn to grow. This is because she provides non-judgmental support and transformational experiences for people to return to vitality and wholeness through practices of self care and radical self-love. Michelle meets her clients and students with amazing empathy while holding them accountable to themselves with a style that is both bold and gracious, and full of love.
It is with pride that Tucson Biz Beat salutes Michelle Marks, Temple love Yoga, and her integrative practice that help the Tucson community stay healthy, happy and healing.
