MoveOn.org organized nationwide Rallies to Save the American Dream to demonstrate support of Wisconsin workers last Saturday.

Their original goal was to have a solidarity demonstration in every state capitol, but in the end, there were rallies in every state capitol + 16 other cities. Tens of thousands of Americans demonstrated in 66 separate events around the country.

Despite competing lefty events on Saturday, approximately 600 Tucsonans demonstrated in favor of Wisconsin workers and unions on all four corners of Speedway and Campbell and down Campbell toward the University of Arizona. A reported 900 demonstrated in Phoenix.

Check out this story on the MoveOn blog for 50 photos from 50 different rallies around the country.

More than 100,000 people braved the snow and demonstrated in Madison on Saturday.

Looks like you blew the 6000+ tea part rallies out of the water.

Tea party is paid hooligans by the billionaire Koch brothers and their front man Dick Armey!:-) The tea party will fizzle in time its nothing but a remake of the Ross Perot movement!:-)

Ross Perot to created a storm for a while, seemed to be the 3rd party many desired, but if fizzled in time due to unfortunately for those who desire a 3rd competing party the democrats and republicans are to well entrenched in our society not saying one day it might not happen, we see a movement afoot now to create a “independent party” for the independents but if either party inflitrates it and tries to take it over as the tea party was by the GOP operatives its never going to be successful in the long run, since front parties have the backroom parties agenda and the old saying of you can fool some of the people all the time but you cannot fool all the people all the time applies, once folks realize what the front party is they loose interest and momentum, its becoming more and more obvious as the days go on the tea party is nothing but a branch of the GOP thats why the joke is circulating they are teapublicans, angry, white republicans!:-)

Polls are like my horoscope, fun to read, entertaining, but I don’ t live my life by either one, elections run in cycles, much like the weather sometimes its sunny sometimes not! Another old corny saying comes to mind, the sun don’t shine on one dogs tail all the time, it has to shine on some other dogs tail some of the time, the GOP went into the shade in 2006/2008, its peaking out a bit for them in 2010, and cannot say yet if it will be cloudy or sunny for them in 2012, but time will tell!
