Greetings Dear Animal Lovers

Tucson Tails is dedicated to everyone who treats their pets like family members.

Ain’t unconditional love grand?

Tucson is rich with resources for the pet lover and for making your pets’ lives better.

Tucson Tails wants to give exposure to those struggling animal charities by giving them a voice to get the word out about the services they offer and the volunteers, wish lists, and donations needed.

Tucson Tails will cover the good, the bad, the ugly, and the joy of animal issues locally, nationally, and globally.

As for me — Karyn Zoldan — I have lived with and loved rescued greyhounds since 1998. I’m a past board member of Arizona Greyhound Rescue, a current board member for GREY2K USA, and am striving to be an active member of AWASA (Animal Welfare Alliance of Southern Arizona). Under the dazzling shingle of Beading Divas to the Rescue, I  help raise funds for animal charities by making and selling bracelets from donated beads.

Please send your pet-related press releases, events, news, pleas for volunteers, resources, stories, Youtube links, blogs, and photos, etc. to tucson.tails@yahoo.com . I need lots and lots of pet photos. Only send photos that you have permission to post (with a credit to the photo taker) or have taken yourself. When sending photos, let me know your pet’s name and age.

Let the barking begin!

Thank you to:

The Tucson Tails banner was created by Bonnie Lewis, book editor and graphic designer. She also writes Pour Me Some Grapes, a wine blog for Tucson Citizen.

The photo for the top banner was taken by Diana Hansen of her greyhound Buddy and her cat Barney. They were great pals. Buddy died last year from sarcoma of the eye.

Congratulations, Karyn — I’m sure it’ll be a big success.
If you want people to send you info on blogs, of course I’ll send a link to mine. I have a fun and useful — as opposed to ranting — post today about the 9 things that makes a hotel genuinely pet friendly:  http://willmydoghateme.com/pet-travel/9-things-that-make-a-hotel-genuinely-pet-friendly
