155 cats and dogs were adopted from Pima Animal Care Center during the Monsoon Muttness event held on Friday, June 17 through Sunday, June 19, 2011.The staff and volunteers at Pima Animal Care Center would like to extend a huge thank you to Pima County residents for attending the event and helping the Center exceed the adoption goal of placing 10,000 animals into homes during their campaign.
A special thank you to the Marana and the Oro Valley Police Departments and Jerry Sanchez of Compliance DJs who have supported this event over the past years. PACC would like to also thank the Animal Welfare Alliance of Southern Arizona (AWASA), the Tucson Wildlife Center, and the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) for their support during the event and all year long.
To celebrate that success and allow additional time for residents who did not make it to the Monsoon Muttness event, PACC will extend the $10 reduced adoption fee through Find-a-Friend Weekend, which will be held July 16 and 17, 2011. As a special thank you during the Find-a-Friend Weekend, a light brunch, from noon to 3:00 p.m., will be provided for residents who come to PACC on Saturday July 16, 2011.
