Tucson cats: Casa de los Gatos in dire need

Help Casa de los Gatos cats

There’s an emergency plea out locally for donations of cat litter, Kirkland dry cat food (purple bag), and money to pay the rent, utilities, and veterinarian bills. Rent, utilities, and vet bills are continually hard for Casa de los Gatos to cover as funds rely entirely on donations.

Casa de los Gatos is behind on payments to Southwest Gas and the gas had been shut off so there’s no hot water. $610 is owed to Southwest Gas; $650 to Tucson Electric Power, and $140 to Tucson water.

The rent on the houses where the cats live is $2,700 per month.

Many volunteers are needed to come into the shelter and do cleaning and cat care for 300 cats and a few dogs in two different locations: 3255 N. Flanwill Blvd and 3432 E. Ft. Lowell. Both are zip code 85716 (near Country Club Dr.)

People who want to donate food or litter can drop it off at 3255 N. Flanwill.

Monetary donations can be made online via the website or mailed to PO Box 31302, Tucson, AZ 85751.

Tax deductible contributions can be made via AZ Hearts website using PayPal, or writing a check to H.E.A.R.T.S., specifying Casa de los Gatos on the memo line, and mailing to:
H.E.A.R.T.S. Inc.
12112 Rancho Vistoso Blvd. #150-317
Oro Valley, AZ 85755
