Tucson: Pit Bulls Support March

Join Tucson area dog lovers as they join together to walk in support of pit bulls on Monday, November 14 at 4:30 p.m.
Pit n’ Proud, a local non-profit pit bull advocacy organization, will be coordinating this walk in response to the recent biased media coverage of these maligned and misunderstood dogs.
Pit n’ Proud is hoping dog owners and lovers of all breeds will come out to show that ignorance will not be tolerated.
Dogs are products of their environment, socialization, and training. Pit n’ Proud demands that the media focus on the real circumstances of dog bites and attacks, and cease their vilification of dogs based on breed alone.
Participants should join in at the Hi Corbett Field parking lot at Reid Park to begin walking at 4 p.m. Bring a sign or come early and make one.
All breeds of dogs welcome. You don’t have to have a dog to walk. Dogs must be leashed and social. One dog per handler. No retractable leads and no nose-to-nose contact between dogs. All attendees are expected to be civil and abide by all laws.
This will be a lighthearted and positive event, and a great opportunity to connect with other bully breed lovers. Pit n’ Proud would like the media to come see the positive side of the pit bull community first hand.
