Leo is a handsome 8 to 10 year old Cocker Spaniel. He is blind and probably mostly deaf but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying life.
His favorite activities are meal times, walking around outside, smelling new smells, taking naps, and belly rubs.
He gets along with all sizes of dogs and other animals but doesn’t want to be stepped on or knocked over. Leo rarely barks and would like a home where he can roam in a protected environment and not be trampled by dogs who play to rough. He is house trained but not good with kids.
Don’t tell Leo but he’s considered special needs. We just think he’s really special.

SOUTHERN ARIZONA BEAGLE RESCUE
Carla is a 2 year old beagle mix. She is playful, curious, smart, and trusting. Carla is eager to please and very affectionate.
Teddy is a rare “blue” beagle. He’s about 6 years is well mannered, housebroken, loves children and other dogs. He almost had his forever home, but his separation anxiety caused problems with the neighbors. Teddy will make a wonderful companion.

Emmy – #708893 – 7 Years Old – Labrador Retriever Mix – Female
Emmy is a true dog in every sense of the word. She loves chasing her toys around, meeting new people and other dogs and always appreciates a good belly rub. Brought to the HSSA when her lifelong family was evicted from their home, Emmy needs a fresh start. Although she lived her entire life outdoors, Emmy is extremely smart and has caught on to house training in record timing. She loves treats and has mastered sit and shake in a matter of minutes. In excellent health, Emmy is looking and feeling great, especially after recent dental work and loves showing off those pearly whites! Won’t you allow this remarkable sweetheart of a dog to charm her way into your heart?
Java – #709748 – 1.5 Years Old – Shepherd Mix – Female
Java has her eye on you! This extraordinary girl has born with 8 other puppies in a shelter to a stray mom, Java watched as, one-by-one, her mother and siblings all found homes. As she grew to be 3 months old, it became apparent that Java’s right eye wasn’t developing normally due to a congenital disorder and that she would need to have it removed. While on the operating table, Java’s heart and breathing stopped. For 20 minutes, Java was pronounced dead but the veterinarians continued attempting to resuscitate her. Miraculously, she returned and has been one tough cookie ever since. During her short lifetime, Java has been through numerous homes. Surrendered for economic reasons and after being attacked by the other dog in her home, Java could certainly use a permanent place to live with people who will love her forever. She is a terrific girl, great with other dogs of all sizes and kids of all ages. Among her favorite treats are carrots, ice cubes, peanut butter, and playtime. She’s docile, tenaciously loyal, appreciative and understandably clumsy. Won’t you please offer her a brighter future?
