Update Tucson: Lost Therapy Dog in NW – Found!
by Karyn Zoldan on Jul. 20, 2012, under Animal News, Dogs, Canines, Fun with Fido, Barking Encouraged, Pet Health & SafetyEarlier in the week Tucson Tails reported about Kojack, a Gabriel’s Angels therapy dog that was frightened by the storm while at Catalina State Park and took off on July 14.
Today I am thrilled to report that Kojack has been found!
From Jan at Gabriel’s Angels:
“Hi Karyn: Just want to make sure you got my email . . . Kojack is home!!! Lori and some friends had plans to go out into all the washes on horseback this weekend, but now they don’t have to. In Lori’s words:
“He was up Oracle past Tangerine… we think he was hiding out in the wash behind Rancho Vistoso, he came out and walked up to a woman in her front yard who happens to be a retired veterinarian & groomer and just looked at her as if to say “help”. She brought him inside and being a vet was able to safely remove all of the cactus from his mouth, face, body, brush him, feed him, give him water, and keep him safe until I got there!! He could not have picked a better person to trust!
So all is well, we got our miracle! Thanks so much for your help.”

With all the rains and flooded washes this past week, it truly is a miracle that Kojack is safe and sound.
