Angels for Animals is a small, non-profit, grassroots dog rescue which began December 2009 when they became aware of the immediate need to rescue abandoned and abused dogs in the Los Reales Landfill area of Tucson known as “Dogpatch.”
People have dumped horses, chickens, dogs, cats, cattle and many more animals there. Some animals are alive, some dead, some shot or strung up and waiting to die. Mama dogs roam looking for a safe place to have their puppies. People have designated this area as a hell for animals. Since December 2009 Angels for Animals has helped over 100 animals find a better life, and continue helping not only the animals in need, but assisting the residents of this low income area with the care of their pets.
If you cannot make this event, consider making a donation or volunteering.
