I have less then zero love or tolerance of the common house cat. Cat owners should not allow their cats to roam out of doors. Cats will kill for reasons other than food. Cats seem to enjoy killing for the fun of it and toying with their hapless victims. I consider it my environmental duty to “cull the herd” so to speak. Cats are actually a non indigenous, invasive species. Whenever I see a cat running loose on my acreage, I simply use it for target practice with my hollow point .223(or my .30-06 if I feel like blowing off expensive ammo). Those little critters just explode in a puff of fur. Scavenger birds and other four legged critters thank me for their unexpected meal and good fortune.
